Environment America and our sister research and policy center is a federation of state-based, citizen-funded environmental advocacy organizations. Our professional staff in 27 states and Washington, D.C., combines independent research, practical ideas and tough-minded advocacy to overcome the opposition of powerful special interests and win real results for the environment.

Environment America Research and Policy Center builds on the progress our advocates and activists have made at the state and local level?from laws that promote solar and wind power, to cuts in the pollution that causes global warming, to new  protections for millions of acres of  wilderness and open space. With that grassroots support and action across the country, a team of professional researchers and issue experts, advocates in 25 state capitols, more advocates at work in Washington, D.C., a spirit of cooperation and an orientation toward real results, Environment America is providing a powerful force for progress on the environment in our country.

is dedicated to protecting the health and well being of children from harmful environmental exposures. We educate parents, support protective policies, and engage communities to make responsible decisions, simple everyday choices, and well-informed lifestyle improvements to create healthy environments where children and families can flourish.

Healthy Child Healthy World exists because more than 125 million Americans, especially children, now face an historically unprecedented rise in chronic disease and illness such as cancer, autism, asthma, birth defects, ADD/ADHD, and learning and developmental disabilities. Credible scientific evidence increasingly points to environmental hazards and household chemicals as causing and contributing to many of these diseases.

As a national leader for nearly two decades, Healthy Child Healthy World has become the nation's leading organization of its kind. We help millions of parents, educators, health professionals, and the general public take action to create healthy environments and embrace green, non-toxic steps.

Intertribal Council On Unity Policy

The Intertribal Council On Utility Policy (COUP) promotes rethinking about how we operate our federal grid system in the Upper Great Plains Region, which once transmitted 100% hydropower, but now carries nearly 85% coal power. With an annual Native Wind ;wind potential of 535 billion kWhs nationally, Intertribal COUP envisions the build out of thousands of megawatts of tribally-owned, utility-scale wind projects distributed on two dozen Indian Reservations across the Great Plains and interconnected to the federal transmission grid. The integration of tribal wind and federal hydropower can transform the existing system into a clean, green energy dynamo, increasing our renewable energy capacity and supporting sustainable tribal economic development, while keeping coal safely in the ground and reducing the consumption of our precious water resources throughout the West.

NCSE works closely with the many communities creating and using environmental knowledge to make and shape environmental decisions, including research, education, environmental, and business organizations, as well as governmental bodies at all levels.

SHARE International

SHARE International promotes the understanding for the needs of sustainable living styles. Unlike organizations that are trying to protect the environment without regard to humanities continued influence, the goals of sustainable development are to work with local groups and individuals to protect the environment on which they depend.

By promoting awareness, creating alternatives, encouraging social and ethical responsibility, along with education, technical, and scientific support, we can create a new paradigm for the future that will work toward protecting the environment on which we all depend.
